INGREDIENTS:

  • 225 g/1 e/4 cups HARIMSA Multigrain Mix.
  • 115 g/1/2 cup white sugar.
  • 115 g/1/2 cup brown sugar.
  • 1 natural yoghurt.
  • 3 eggs.
  • 5 tablespoons of sunflower oil.
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder.

PREPARATION METHOD:

Stir the eggs and the sugar in a bowl. Add the oil and the yoghurt and stir again for a while. Then add the HARIMSA Multigrain Bread Mix and stir preferably with a wire whisk. We reccomend using a mixer blend.

We will not use the natural yeast packed included in our packaging Instead, we will use 10-12gr baking powder.

Preheat the oven to 170º C and put the homogeneous and lump-free dough in a baking dish. Bake for 40 minutes.

Before removing the sponge cake from the oven, please make sure that is totally cooked poking the dough with a knife or a toothpick. Once baked, sprinkle the top of the cake with a powered sugar and cinnamon. You can also do this before baking the dough. The appearance will be different but the taste will be the same.

The result will be a delicious and nutritious sponge cake, tastier than the traditional ones thanks to the wheat and rye flour, rice, oats, barley, corn and flax seed, millet and sunflower seeds.
